Blue Cottages Country House is one of the most popular tourist stop-overs on the route to the Kruger Park via Hoedspruit and Palaborwa. New owners, Pieter and Maria, are ready to welcome one and all to their stylish cottages, farmhouse, Monsoon Gallery and Mad Dogz Restaurant. Blue Cottages is situated on a four acre tropical garden on the Olifants River Estates -- a citrus farm found on the road to Hoedspruit to Lydenberg (R527) just past the Strydom Tunnel in the central lowveld. Accommodation is available for up to 15 persons in four double suites, two twin bedded suites in two separate cottages and original farm house built in 1948. (Some equipped for self-catering). Here you will find an old world country comfort like only an African farm can impart. Set in the remote lowveld bush savannah with the backdrop of the Escarpment amongst orchards and tropical gardens and sparkling pool, this bed and breakfast is a blend of the colonial and the African. Blue Cottages is on the “Panoramic Route" and on route Phalaborwa and Orpen Gates of the Kruger National Park and the private game reserves of Timbivati, Thornybush, Klaserie, Makalali and Kapama
