A bit about your hosts:
Dave and Anne Bowker have been running Lowlands Country House for a year, having had vast experience in a number of fields – interior decorating, manufacturing, building industry, human resources, golf industry amongst others. They have two children – one married son, a daughter who is engaged to be married plus two beautiful grandchildren. Dave manages the sheep and cattle on the farm and helps run the guest houses with Anne. Their daughter Kate has joined them to assist in marketing and management. They lived in Port Elizabeth and Durban for many years and decided to return to the area in which Anne grew up amongst a large farming family. Dave and Anne both attended boarding schools in Grahamstown and Dave also comes from a farming background at Carlisle Bridge near Grahamstown.
