Crystal Waters is a unique fly-fishing hide-away for nature lovers -- it offers the winning combination of luxury self-catering accommodation and being one with nature in a completely safe environment. The farm 1000 hectare farm is situated in the mountains of the Lowveld Escarpment near Dullstroom and Lydenburg -- the Trout Mecca of Mpumalanga, and on the route the Kruger National park

Guests will find themselves surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, natural fountains and trout dams and can choose between beautiful private chalets (sleeps 4 and 6 persons), the thatched De Berg Lodge (sleeps 12 see separate web page) - all with dedicated well stocked dams.

Fly fishermen can test their skills against healthy rainbows, browns, reds or golden trout in at least 12 of the 17 dams on the farm. Dams are regularly stocked. Bird lovers can relish the abundance of rare bird species whilst hikers may encounter Blesbuck and smaller antelope such as the red and grey Ribbok along. This is indeed a superb facility and you will experience a wonderful and tranquil stay in a beautiful environment.

Other activities include mountain biking, quads (bring own bikes and quads)...and this is a working farm!

Activities:
Fishing Flyfishing for rainbow, red, brown and golden trout in at least 12 of the 17 dams on the farm. The chalets and lodge also have dedicated well-stocked dams close-by. A certain Mr FC Braun had a trout hatchery in the Potspruit on the farm as far back as 1937

Game Viewing Hikers and visitors may encounter Blesbuck and smaller antelope such as the red and grey Ribbok on the farm. Porcupines, rabbits, jackal and dassies could show themselves unexpectedly

Bird Watching Birdlovers can relish the abundance of rare bird species such as the Blue Crane, Southern Crowned Crane, Wattled Crane and the graceful Secretary bird

Hiking Trails Guests can walk freely on the farm and guidance will be given with regard to walks on the farm. The farm roads are also ideal for eco quad outrides (strict rules) and mountain bikes. Bring you own quads and bikes.

You will find yourself surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, natural fountains and trout dams. Several trails can be explored

The three chalets are self-catering, fully equipped for six people and consist of two bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen, gas stove, refrigerator, shower and toilet, hot water system and solar lighting. All have braai facilities outside. A huge fireplace offers a romantic, cozy setting against cold winter nights. Shade carport at each chalet.
