Farm Details
Farm Name/s:Four Flies - 180 ha
Farming Activities: Sheep and cattle
Farm History: The original farm Leeuwfontein was divided into 29 portions in 1888 and it was approved by President Paul Kruger himself. Four Flies as it is now, was portion 0. The main house on the farm is still standing. It was built in 1870 and was beautifully renovated in the year 2000. The primary farming activity was cattle farming. The new owners want to continue with this.

A bit about your hosts:
Miemie van Loggerenberg decided to make a major life change at the wonderful age of 50. Being “city dwellers” all their lives they decided to purchase a farm and start farming. What an experience! Between rescuing ill or dying sheep and finding stray cattle they found time to redecorate the huge guesthouse on the farm. “We are delighted with our farm, Four Flies, our comfortable guesthouse, our cattle, sheep, chicken and dogs. We are even impressed with the young fish eagle stealing trout from our three dams.” they say. Farming certainly is something different. They really enjoy sharing their experience with the visitors at the farm and guesthouse The spacious living area with jetmaster
