Suite 1007 is a beautifully furnished two bedroomed flat in the popular Shangri La complex right on the beach at Doonside and close to Amanzimtoti on the South Coast.

Doonside Beach is right in front of the complex. It is a protected beach and popular with bathers, surfers and kite surfers. It is not far from Warner Beach, which has a lovely natural rock pool and beach shop.

The Suite offers 180-degree horizon and breaker sea views from picture-frame windows in the open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining areas as well as the main bedroom. The complex has a large swimming pool and barbecue facilities as well as a convenience store. This is a very safe destination with access control, 24 hours security and covered guarded parking in the basement area. The Suite has two bathrooms and the main bedroom has a garden-and-home bathroom with oval corner bath. Shangri La is only 12 km from the old Durban Airport and conveniently close to popular tourist attractions such as Ushaka Marine World, Crockworld and others and very popular amongst participants in the Comrades.

Doonside and Amanzimtoti is just over 20kms south of Durban centre and is an attractive nature resort. Kanti Amanzi Mtoti' meaning 'The water is sweet' was a remark made by Zulu Warrior Chief Shaka, when camping alongside the Manzimtoti River, resulting in it's name. Amanzimtoti is the first town in the area known as "The Sunshine Coast" which is part of the Natal - South Coast. It is a combination of a holiday resort and a residential area. AMANZIMTOTI BIRD SANCTUARY - A captivating, self-guided trail winding through the forest, with 150 species of birds which visit the sanctuary. The sanctuary consists of a large expanse of open water surrounded by rolling lawns and gardens on one end, indigenous riverine forest on the other. An easy half-hour self-guided trail winds itself through the forest and is a haven for birdlife. From any of the three bird hides one has an opportunity of seeing many of the 150 bird species in the sanctuary, such as resident Spurwing Geese, White Faced Duck, Greenback Heron, Giant Kingfisher and Hamerkop.
